Teaching a Face-to-Face (Classroom), Online or Hybrid Extension Studies Course
Texas State faculty should complete the online Request to Teach an Extension Course form via the link below. Once reviewed and approved by the Office of Distance and Extended Learning (ODEL), the request will be forwarded for other necessary approvals. These approvals consist of the department chair/school director and the Graduate College (if applicable). Once all approvals are received, the ODEL will notify the appropriate faculty member. The ODEL will build all approved Extension courses in to the official Schedule of Classes for the term requested.
The course syllabus for each class that is being requested is required and can be attached electronically to the online request form. The ODEL also requires each faculty member's CV, which can also be attached electronically to the online request form.
If you have any questions about instructing a course through Extension Studies, please contact the Office of Distance and Extended Learning at 512-245-2322.
